On December 10th, the ISO/TC 81 Pesticide Nomenclature Technical Committee approved the official common name for a pesticide active ingredient: cyclobunofen (Chinese common name: 硝苯菌酰胺), developed by Qingyuan Agricultural Crown Crop Science Co., Ltd. Detailed information is as follows:

• Chinese chemical name: N-[(1S,2S)-2-(2,4 - 二溴苯基) 环丁基]-2 - 硝基苯甲酰胺与其 0~20% (1R,2R)- 对映异构体的混合物
• English chemical name: N-[(1S,2S)-2-(2,4-dibromophenyl)cyclobutyl]-2-nitrobenzamide and 0-20% of the (1R,2R)-enantiomer
• Cyclobunofen is a new-generation patented fungicidal/nematicidal compound from Qingyuan. It effectively controls key diseases including Fusarium head blight, Botrytis cinerea (gray mold), Alternaria solani (early blight), Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (sclerotinia rot), and soil-borne Fusarium spp., as well as various nematodes such as Meloidogyne incognita (southern root-knot nematode), Bursaphelenchus xylophilus (pine wood nematode), Aphelenchoides besseyi (rice white tip nematode), and Ditylenchus destructor (sweet potato stem nematode). The compound features high crop safety and an extended residual period.
